Manuel Pellegrini named West Ham Manager

West Ham have confirmed the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini as their new Manager on a three-year deal. The 64-year-old Chilean, who has previously enjoyed spells in charge of Real Madrid and Manchester City, left his role with Hebei China Fortune over the weekend to join the Hammers.

Chelsea make Bayern Striker Robert Lewandowski

Chelsea have made Robert Lewandowski their top target this summer as they look to rebuild after a disappointing season. The Blues finished fifth in the Premier League, missing out on Champions League football, and struggled for a genuine goalscoring threat up top following the departure of Diego Costa. Lewandowski, who has also been heavily linked with Real Madrid, is now seen as the man to fill that gap.

Harry Kane to captain England at World Cup in Russia

Tottenham striker Harry Kane will captain England at the upcoming World Cup in Russia. England boss Gareth Southgate named Kane as his skipper for the tournament during a meeting with the squad at St. George’s Park on Monday night. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier have previously captained England under Southgate but it is Kane who will take the armband in Russia.
