Ray C joins government in fight against drugs

Tanzanian songbird Ray C

Veteran Bongo artiste Ray C has announced that she will work hand in hand with the government of Tanzania in the fight against drug abuse.  The songstress has further urged the government to invest in rehabilitation centres if it hopes to tame the menace. ‘Drugs are a serious threat, its one of those things you should never wish to get into. I want to request the government to build rehabilitation centres and sober houses that will deal with this menace. The existing ones are private yet our people do not have money to pay for privatised care,’ she said.

The musician has promised to work with the government to see an end to drug use in the country and with her yet to be released music expected to touch on her life in drugs.

Proff returns with ‘Kati Yetu’

Proff

East African Afro/Dancehall Maestro and Recording Artist Proff is back. Known from his dancing days at Florida 2000 some time back to becoming a backup singer to ragga star Redsan, before he launched his solo career with hit songs such as Data, Kidogo and Niambie, his latest release ‘Kati Yetu’ is not your usual love song. Other than describing the first stages of a relationship where everything is butterflies and roses,  it highlights the importance of mutual trust in a relationship between two people who have been in love for a long time. The song was written by Proff, produced by Gabzo of Fast Cash Music Group. ‘Kati Yetu’ is off his upcoming album dubbed ‘Tofauti’.
