Youtube man Julius Yego tosses Victor Wanyama, David Rudisha , Collins Injera for most influential sports personality in Kenya

Self trained Javelin Star has trounced a stars studded field including Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder, Rugby star Collins Injera and Olympic champion David Rudisha for the most influential sports personality of the year accolade.

The list was released by avance media which touched on the list of 2016’s 100 Most Influential Young Kenyans who are considered tastemakers, newsmakers and trendsetters in the various professions that they belong in. The list encompasses players in Business, Entertainment, Law & Governance, Lifestyle, Media, Science & Technology, Personal Development & Academia, Leadership & Civil Society, Sports and Social Enterprise.

Yego christened the Youtube man is an Olympic silver medalist and the reigning world champion in his field.
Wanayma, who is flying the Kenyan flag high in the English Premier League was in second place with two time Olympic champion in 800m David Rudisha taking the last podium position.

Missing the podium position by a whisker was all time leading IRB top scorer Collins Injera. Vivian Cheruiyot, the reigning 5000m Olympic champion was the best placed female sports personality in fifth opposition.

Other notable names in the top ten are, footballers, Michael Olunga and Arnold Origi, marathoner, Jemima Jelagat Sumgong, runner Eunice Jepkoech Sum among others.
