Chelsea held at Liverpool as Watford dent Arsenal’s title hopes

Diego Costa missed a penalty as Premier League leaders Chelsea had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Jurgen Klopp’s out-of-form Liverpool at Anfield.

David Luiz’s free kick caught out Liverpool, with goalkeeper Simon Mignolet not set as the ball whistled in off the post.

Liverpool hit back in the second half when James Milner headed back across goal for Georginio Wijnaldum to nod past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Kimani joins Ingwe on the eve of KPL transfer

Kenyan premier league side AFC Leopards have acquired the services of Harambee Stars winger Kevin Kimani ahead of the 2017 season that is expected to kick-off February 11.

Club Secretary General Oscar Igadia confirmed that Kimani, who joins Ingwe as a free agent from South African outfit Jomo Cosmos, has penned a one-year deal to see him become the final player to be signed at the den.

Igadia believes the former Mathare United and Tusker FC player will inspire AFC Leopards back to its glory days after struggling in the past three seasons where they failed to finish in the top five.

Adema selected in Simbas provisional squad

Former Kenya Sevens fly-half Biko Adema has made the cut for the 60-man provisional Kenya Simbas quad named by Kenya Rugby Union on Tuesday to prepare for the 2017 international assignments.

Adema, who was axed from the Shujaa team for the 2016/17 World Rugby Sevens Series, is among the three Nondescripts players shortlisted for the team that has started training.

Kenya Simbas’ main objective will be to reclaim the Africa Cup that they last won in 2013 as well as retaining the regional Elgon Cup.
