Femi One – Pilau Njeri

This clear diss record intended to put fellow femcee Njeri in her place. ‘Pilau Njeri’ does have a couple of hard hitting punchlines buried deep within the, at times clunky, flow, ‘Trash music, Njeri wewe bado hatupei no mind, hiyo jina ndo hatupendi’. But that can be overlooked because of her pure ferociousness in the video. She clearly had a message to put out there, which might explain the overly simplistic video. Noti Flow and Kush Tracey also get an honorable mention in the song. We are waiting to see how this beef develops.

Sudi Boy & Timmy Tdat – Iromo

This song is pretty straightforward. Sudi Boy and Timmy Tdat fight over a beautiful lass as she displays characteristic wishy-washiness and loses both of them in the end. As they sing praises of the girl, although they have two very different styles, in this collaboration it strangely works. The song’s production done by Teddy B is its strong suit. It has an oddly efficient beat that they both play off.

Avril – Yule Dame

It’s hard to hate on an inspirational anthem and ‘Yule Dame’ hold its own on that front. Avril is back and all is well in the world. As she explains in the video ‘A song that speaks to the strength of a woman; a special tribute to every superwoman out there rising above, time and time again.’ Written by TPF finalist Amileena and produced by Dj Space for MOB Studios the song celebrates women from all walks of life who are making ends meet with a beautifully shot video.
