The Soul Provider tour made its stop in Nairobi last Saturday and the show proved to be an all-out extravaganza. Although it did take hours for the crowd to pick up enough speed for the concert to really get going, once it did, the acts kept the fire burning until the early hours of the morning. The show was opened by the award-winning Yard Beat Sounds, a DJ collective that played in Africa for the first time ever, as they held the decks down for almost 3 hours. Shashamane International celebrated their 32nd birthday in style by featuring not only international act Romain Virgo who played a select set of his biggest hits but also promoted some local talent in the way off Vivian, JFAM and boyband on the rise, H_art The Band, with some surprises included here and there.
The show is definitely in the running to be one of the greatest concerts in the country so far and proves that Kenya is indeed the African mecca for reggae music.
