Concours D ’Elegance marks 46th birthday in style

Concours D ’Elegance continues to be the social event of the year. This season’s fete which was termed as ‘Elegance in Red’ marked the 46th anniversary of the car show in the country. Featuring 28 entries from outside the country the Alfa Romeo Owners Club represented in full effect. From interiors to undercarriages the fashionably retro vehicles had to pass through a close and thorough inspection in addition to looking like functioning museum pieces.

Motorcycles were not left out of the equation as a decidedly loud and flashy grand parade led yet again by the Starehe Boys’ Centre Band made their way round the thoroughfare. Although the freefall parachute drop was not included in this year’s edition, the classic car and motorcycle sale and children’s entertainment  still took centre stage.
