Trey Songz Is Coming To Nairobi

Ladies prepare to eat your hearts out, RnB heart throb Trey Songz will be jetting in the country this September.

Yes. It has now been confirmed that Trey Songz is this year’s Coke Studio Africa International superstar and is set to feature in the show’s season finale along with some of Africa’s biggest acts.

According to Independent Online, Trey was excited to hear the news and said he couldn’t wait to visit Kenya and partner with CocaCola in the non-competitive music show that brings together some of Africa’s finest acts to record a mash-ups of their hit songs and deliver stellar performances on stage.

“I have always been committed to spending time on the continent of Africa yearly. My fans show me so much love when I’m there. I can’t wait to visit Kenya and partner with the Coca-Cola Company on this initiative.” He said

“I am fortunate to be working with some of Africa’s biggest stars. I look forward to learning from them, making a lot of new friends as I discover what they have to offer,” he added.

Some of the artistes set to perform alongside the Grammy award winning artistes include Nyashinski (Kenya), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), Stonebwoy (Ghana) and Neyma (Mozambique).

South African producer Maphorisa of has been tasked to produce songs on the collboations for Trey Songz and the African artistes.

Last year the music show hosted another RnB favorite Neyo at the season 3 finale who delvered an epic performance alongside Maurice Kirya (Uganda), Wangechi (Kenya), Dama Do Bling (Mozambique), Ice Prince (Nigeria) and Alikiba (Tanzania).

Trey who has sold over 14 million record worldwide is known for Can’t help but wait, Say Aah, About You, Bottoms Up featuring Nicki Minaj, Heart Attack, Love Faces, Na Na and Slow Motion, among other hits.
