Tim Cook unveils ‘sweet phone Alabama’ in karaoke

Apple’s millionaire CEO kicked off the unveiling of the new iPhone 7 with a very humble musical nod to his home state- Alabama.

Tim Cook opened the presentation for the hugely anticipated device with a video of himself doing Carpool Karaoke with Late Late Show host James Corden and music superstar Pharrell Williams. He and Corden began the karaoke session by singing in unison to One Republic – Cook’s favorite band – before Pharrell joins in to give him some fashion advice.
In a touching nod to his home town state, Cook belted out Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic rock anthem ‘Sweet Home Alabama’.

Joh Makini to collaborate with Falz

Top Tanzanian hip hop king Joh Makini of the hit song “Don’t Bother” is in Nairobi for the recording of the upcoming fourth season of Coke Studio Africa. Returning on the show for a second time, Joh has been paired with the Nigerian BET award-winning artiste Falz ‘The Bahd Guy’, of the hit singles: “Soft Work”, “Ello Bae” and “Celebrity Girlfriend” featuring Reekado Banks. The two artistes, expected to fuse sounds of hip hop, pop, R&B, afro-beats and highlife, among vast genres, will be produced by France-based producer DSK.

Falz, a first-timer on the show, has already clinched a BET Award for Viewers Choice Best New International Act in 2016 and a 2015 AMVCA Award for Best Male Actor in a comedy. Ahead of his anticipated grand debut on the show this year, he said, “It’s my first experience on Coke Studio Africa and I know that it’s going to be great. Being paired with Joh Makini from Tanzania gives our fans a mix of sounds and a rich blend of cultures.

Drake’s Tour bus Robbed, suspect arrested

 “One Dance” rapper Drake’s tour bus was robbed of millions of dollars during a tour stop in Phoenix, Arizona.

The robbery occurred while the 29-year-old artist was performing at the Talking Stick Arena with his DJ, Future the Prince.

“Their bus was parked in the lower garage,” the police say. “Between 10:00pm and 10:15pm, a suspect boarded the bus and removed a briefcase containing an estimated $3 million in jewelry and property.

The suspect, Travion King, was arrested on campus at Arizona State University Wednesday afternoon, and cops describe him as a transient.

Police say they found him with the briefcase which contained all of the jewelry. He’s been booked for felony burglary.
