Nebulazz gets 3 nominations for Kisumu Teens awards

Nairobi based Kisumu artiste Nebulazz has bagged three nominations in the upcoming Kisumu Teens choice awards.

Launched in Novembe, 2015 the KTCA award celebrates different talents and role models in music, dance, modelling, poetry and goes further to appreciate schools doing well in curriculum and co -curriculm activities thus fostering the education front. The nominees list released three days ago saw Nebulazz who is currently riding high with his latest release ‘Serebuka’ bag nominations for Male artiste of the year, Video of the Year for the song Zambarurera and a final nomination for Collabo of the year for the new hit Serebuka in which he featured Marvo.

Youths counter violent extremism at ‘face it’ initiative

Hosted by Umoja Talanta’s Xbizi, the ‘face it’ initiative held a week long workshop that culminated into a concert in the pursuit to counter violent extremism. The music meets dance workshops engaged young artists and dancers who discussed collaborations and how they can work together to better their livelihoods through art. Theatre being a practical and more effective way of passing on information, it was used to address issues triggering violent extremism as well as how to counter. Other exhibitions showcased drawings illustrating violent extremism topping the whole affair with the main concert with artiste such as G-Cho, Vijana Baru baru, Xbizi as well as Figure out band taking on the stage for a great show of talent.
