Aje Remix – Eric Omondi

This song which might be just a shameless advertisement for KIZA lounge, has Eric Omondi surrounded by a bevy of beautiful lasses at the beautiful KIZA lounge as he lip synchs to a distorted version of Ali Kiba’s smash hit ‘Aje’. It’s hard to take the song seriously as the girls then leave him with a hefty bill seeing as all they drank was Moët & Chandon and Hennessey but that might be entire point of the song.

Mwerere – Naira Ali

The visuals for Mwerere could be a feature film all on its own. The stunning 4-minute clip shot by Bugginz of Chocolate Filmz showcases a variety of exotic locales while Naira Ali sits as a work of art in a gallery. The song, sang in vernacular is accompanied by a characteristically mellow and somewhat sparse instrumentation that only boosts the ‘quiet storm’ vibe of the song.

Wivu – Jux

Bongo Flava artistes continue to dominate the airwaves with their presence in the music industry and it is with good reason. Tanzanian singer Jux decides to once again win over the ladies with this single expressing the jealousy he feels towards his lover. The song produced by Bob Menecky carries that playful din that Bongo music tends to have and the visuals shot in China and directed by Zed Benson, although beautiful, contain that washed-out filter that many musical imports just love to use.
