Ex-cop in early morning drama

An former police officer caused drama this morning after he stripped naked at Langata Police Station in Nairobi demanding his reinstatement.

The ex-cop also demanded audience with Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett as he sought to expedite return to the National Police Service.

The officer, Charles Kamau, 33 had resigned in January but came back demanding to be reinstated.

Kamau had resorted to becoming a pastor preaching at various bus termini after leaving the force.

Witnesses said the officer came and sat at the entrance of the station attracting pedestrians’ attention before his former colleagues picked him up from the site.
