 Sonko Is Hosting Top Gospel and Secular Artistes for Daughter’s Graduation Party

Flamboyant controversial Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko is tonight set to host a graduation party for his eldest socialite daughter Saumu Mbuvi. The party that is set to host both gospel and secular music artistes from Kenya including DJ Mo, DJ Crème De la Crème, DJ Israel, Mercy Masika,  Esther Wahome, Ringtone,  Jaguar, Sauti Sol, FBI Dance crew among others will be graced by Tanzanian songbird Ali Kiba at the family’s farm residence in Mua starting 4.pm.

Sonko’s daughter is a proud Bachelor of Arts in Journalism graduate from JKUAT.

 Literary Icon Elechi Amadi Is Dead

Popular Nigerian author, Elechi Amadi, has died aged 82. Amadi, who wrote famous books like The ConcubineIsiburuSunset in Biafra, and Peppersoup and The Road to Ibadan, died at about 3:15pm yesterday, about a week after he was taken ill.

Born on May 12, 1934 in Aluu in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Elechi Amadi attended Government College, Umuahia (1948–52), Survey School, Oyo (1953–54), and the University of Ibadan (1955–59), where he obtained a degree in Physics and Mathematics.

He worked as a land surveyor and later as a teacher at several schools, including the Nigerian Military School, Zaria (1963–66). Amadi served in the Nigerian army, remained there during the Nigerian Civil War, and retired at the rank of Captain. Amadi is celebrated by literature lovers all over the world. May his soul rest in peace.

Twitter trolls Itumbi after PSCU disbandment

Social media is a buzz with memes and not so kind words for Former State House senior director of digital communications Dennis Itumbi. This is after the Communications Department he headed was disbanded. Dennis Itumbi has over the years ruffled social media user’s feathers with love and hate in equal measure.

Critics celebrated his ‘firing’using memes that have gone as far as including his friends, gifs and tweets that have mocked the digital communication strategist.  Itumbi, Munyori Buku, Eric Ngeno and James Kinyua have all allegedly been ‘redeployed’ unlike popular belief that they have been fired. It is however not clear where they have been moved to.
