Beyonce’s Surprise BET Performance

In true Queen Bey style she appeared unannounced and opened the 2016 BET Awards in characteristically dynamic style. Standing in a giant pool of water and surrounded by dancers bathed in a red light, she delivered a powerful performance of “Freedom,” from her latest album Lemonade.

Beyonce hit the stage with Kendrick Lamar emerging from below the floor in front of the stage to spit his verse before joining Beyonce in the pool of water as the two stomped through the song’s epic finale, leaving a final lasting image of the two of them side by side.

Is this the return of Kleptomaniacs?

One time beloved all boy band Kleptomaniacs may be reuniting. The trio of ‘King wa rap’ Collo, Nyashinski and Roba could not resist the urge to steal the hearts of their fans with their great music at the Westgate Live concert after a long hiatus. The ‘tuendelee ama tusiendelee’ singers thrilled fans recapping their yesteryears hit songs with Nyashinski crowning it all with his latest solo hit ‘so now you know’.
The concert presented an opportunity to remember, heal and celebrate life as Kenyans through the joy of music and its power to uplift the soul.

In case you were wondering, Nameless is a legend!

Nameless has ruled the music industry for seventeen years now and remains on top of the pack for his legendary performances. The singer literally staged a brilliant one hour energetic performance backed by a live band taking his audience through a throwback that saw him belt out ‘sinzia’, ‘juju’ and an array of collaborations including those with the late E-sir. As usual, his rendition of ‘coming home’ as well as ‘butterfly’ were on point. His mastery of a live performance with a band and how he engages the crowd and responds to their needs definitely makes Nameless the real Kenyan legend musically speaking.
