Having a baby soon? Everything you need to know about the Lamaze Technique

We admit it childbirth is a painful process and nothing like what you watch on KUWTK.Thats why we present the The Lamaze technique, a natural way which involves breathing and relaxation to ease the process of childbirth.

Breathing has a calming effect on the body and the Lamaze breathing prepares women for the stresses of labour by providing them with a mechanism through which to channel the pain. These techniques should be practised before actual childbirth in order to give the expectant mother the right skillset to manage the process.

As with most fitness procedures, the main thing would be trying to find a rhythm that works. Breathing will release the tension from the core of your body, it releases toxins and it reduces anxiety.

Lamaze puts an emphasis on breathing in a pattern. Try to maintain focus on an image or a memory just to help start getting a groove and breathe as deeply as possible. The focus should be on the breathing, the air going into and out of the lungs and not on the pain. This could go a long way in trying to conserve energy spent during the birthing process.

There may be many options available for pain management but this would be an addition to the arsenal when that time comes.
